Regardless of your beliefs I highly recommend this book.
I am not religious or Christian but I am spiritual. I love the way this epic journey from brutal accident to healing illustrates one woman and her family’s accounts through the spiritual awakening process. It is an authentic and easy to read page turner. I found myself holding my breath through the accident and crying through the heart-ache of the family. To then being swept up into the beautifully depicted miracles of a heavenly realm and excited by her newly awakened gifts of insight. If only we could all see each other’s unique spiritual garden by gazing into each others eyes. This book is a heartfelt encounter from looking death in the eye to coming back ever changed.
Inspirational! Must Read.
Closer than Breath is an inspirational read. This recount of the life changing event that the family experienced and the recovery journey is supported by the reflection of the author’s christian life that underpinned her beliefs. The book switches between the voice of the authors (mother and daughter) and is an easy read where you quickly feel like you know them. The author’s heart transformation and the miraculous healing that she experienced can only be described as supernatural and authentic. Jesus is the centre of her story but not in a preachy way. The love and joy that this family experienced is tangible and she invites her readers along and encourages them to let go of certainty of belief and step into love. This story has encouraged me in so many ways. It is a must read!
Just Beautiful!
I absolutely loved this book. A beautiful account of a special life lived; full of miracles. It contains some incredible lessons too. You will be forever changed for reading this.

Raw, vulnerable, thought-provoking, incredible strength and grateful to experience this journey n insight.
Get your RELIGION out of the way, keep your prayer chest full…STOP striving… choose the RESET BUTTON.. let go and let JESUS be ALL He wants to be for you….it’s that simple.
If you're looking for more... take the journey!
Closer than breath is an experience, not only for the author, but also for the reader, for me. I walked the journey through her accident and also her life, but the most important journey was my inner revolution, a transformation of my understanding. I have been on a path where I was seeking more, because I knew that what I learned and knew from years in church couldn’t be all. There must be more, more than our powerless religion. I was looking for something more special, something real, and someone close and personal. Closer than breath confirmed my inner thirst was true, but more than that, it left me in awe, confirming that it really is true and that it really is for me too. If you’re looking for more, take the journey.

Does God Speak? (If so, did God ask you to write this near-death experience memoir?)
When I answer, 'Yes!' the next question is often, 'How did you hear God?' or 'What did God say?' I'll share with you not only how I heard God speak but also snippets of the conversations we had from the first panicky moments after my mum's accident along the journey...
